🎯 Events & Tournaments
How to prepare before events start, which activities to stack, never-waste rules, and the fusion approach.

The Core Principle
Most events run simultaneously by design. The best players don’t do more work — they do the same work and make sure it counts toward multiple events at once. Reading what’s active before spending anything is the single biggest efficiency multiplier.
Never spend until you check what's active
Ranking up a champion, summoning a shard, upgrading an artifact — all of these give event/tournament points. Doing them outside an event window is throwing free points away.
Event Types and What Drives Them
Champion Training
Points from leveling and ranking up champions. Pre-leveling food is the entire strategy.
Never feed level 1 food. Every champion you feed should have levels on it first:
| Food rank | Brews to add | Campaign runs to add |
|---|---|---|
| 2★ food | 1 Brew | 1 run |
| 3★ food | 2 Brews | 2 runs |
| 4★ food | 4 Brews | 3 runs |
| 5★ food | 5 Brews | 12 runs |
Pre-leveling food before the event window quadruples your point output compared to feeding raw level 1 champs. Build a food stockpile continuously — when Champion Training goes live, you should be able to dump hours of preparation instantly.
Artifact Enhancement
Points from upgrading artifacts. Upgrade junk gear, then sell it.
- 1–4★ artifacts: upgrade to level 4 before selling
- 5–6★ artifacts: upgrade to level 8 before selling
Save low-quality artifact drops and do mass upgrades during these events. Don’t upgrade outside the window unless you need the stats immediately.
Dungeon Divers / Dungeon Tournament
Points from artifact rarity and rank obtained in dungeons. Stage 20 auto-farming = best points/energy ratio.
Run your normal Dragon/Spider/Fire Knight farm at stage 20 and you’re banking tournament points simultaneously. No behavior change needed — just make sure you’re running during the event window.
Summon Rush
Points per shard summoned:
| Shard | Points |
|---|---|
| Mystery Shard | 1 |
| Ancient Shard | 20 |
| Void Shard | 120 |
| Sacred Shard | 500 |
Hold your Ancient/Void/Sacred shards for these windows. Mystery Shards barely move the needle — use those freely. Saving 10 Ancients gets you 200 points instantly on demand.
Classic Arena Assault
Points from arena medal conversions. Fight in arena during this window and let medals accumulate — the event runs itself passively.
Event Stacking — The High-Value Combos
| Do this | It counts toward |
|---|---|
| Level food champs on Brutal 12-3 | Champion Training + Artifact Enhancement (artifact drops) |
| Auto dungeon stage 20 | Dungeon Divers + Artifact Enhancement |
| Rank up pre-leveled food | Champion Training (max points per action) |
| Summon shards during Summon Rush | Summon Rush + any simultaneously running Shard Bonus events |
Fusion events are just stacked events with a champion at the end
A fusion runs a Summon Rush + Champion Training + Dungeon Divers + Artifact Enhancement simultaneously. Everything you do during a fusion window serves multiple counters at once. Don’t try to “just do the fusion” — do your normal daily activities and watch the fragments accumulate.
Fusion Events — How to Approach Them
- 1
Decide early if the fusion champion is worth it
HellHades rates every fusion champion before launch. A bad fusion is a trap — it drains shards, food, and energy for a mediocre reward. Only commit if the champion is rated A or above for content you actually do.
- 2
Stage 20 Normal for dungeon tournament legs
~140 runs (~2,240 energy) typically secures 25 fragments from a dungeon tournament. Auto it during your normal farm.
- 3
Pre-level your food stockpile NOW, not when the event starts
The Champion Training leg rewards pre-leveled food. Build a bench of level 30/40 champions ready to rank up the moment the event fires.
- 4
Hold Ancients and Voids until Summon Rush is active
The summon leg of a fusion always runs alongside a Summon Rush. Every shard you summon outside that window gives zero Summon Rush points.
- 5
Don't force a fusion if you're behind
Spending Sacred Shards to catch up on a mediocre champion is one of the most expensive mistakes in the game. Know your cutoff date and walk away if the math doesn't work.
Never-Waste Rules
- 1
Never feed level 1 food during Champion Training
Even 1 brew or 1 campaign run on each food piece multiplies your output dramatically.
- 2
Never upgrade artifacts outside an Enhancement event unless you need the stats
Upgrading junk to level 4 costs silver and gives you enhancement points. That's double value — only available during the window.
- 3
Never summon Ancients/Voids outside a Summon Rush
Mystery Shards are fine to use freely. Ancients and above should sit until the banner is live.
- 4
Never rank up champions during CvC without knowing the points value
Ranking up gives CvC points — but only if you do it during the CvC window. Save books, level-ups, and 6-star pushes for those windows.
- 5
Never spend potions without checking if a fusion is imminent
Fusions burn potions (through ascension requirements) faster than anything. Check the fusion calendar before a potion spend spree.
Potion Management
Potions are a quiet bottleneck that most mid-game players underestimate until a fusion event arrives.
- Spend ~⅓ of daily spare energy on Potion Keeps consistently
- Identify which potion types you’re shortest on and target those keeps specifically
- Before a fusion: check ascension requirements for all fusion ingredients and pre-farm potions a week in advance
Running out of potions mid-fusion is extremely common
Fusions typically require ascending multiple Epic and Legendary champions. That’s 50–100+ potions of specific types. Players who don’t farm potions continuously almost always hit a wall in the final 48 hours of a fusion.
