Raid Shadow Legends
✨ Blessings
How blessings work (Divinities, rarity gating, awakening), and the most useful blessings to target — including the under-rated boss-killer Brimstone.

This is not an exhaustive list — just the standout, widely-recommended blessings and the rules that actually matter.
How Blessings Work
Blessings are NOT tied to Magic/Force/Spirit/Void affinity
A common misconception. Affinity only governs combat advantage. Blessing access is gated by champion rarity, and blessings are organised into 5 Divinities (Light · Dark · War · Chaos · Harmony) — you freely pick any blessing your rarity allows, from any Divinity.
| Champion rarity | Can equip |
|---|---|
| Rare | Rare blessings only |
| Epic | Rare + Epic blessings |
| Legendary / Mythical | All blessings (Rare, Epic, Legendary) |
- A champion must be Awakened (Soul of the Altar) to unlock a blessing — available from Awakening Level 1.
- Each blessing has 6 levels tied directly to the champion’s Awakening level — you don’t star up the blessing separately; awakening the champion levels it.
- Lower-rarity blessing trick: a lower-rarity blessing on a higher-rarity champion grants extra flat stats (why Phantom Touch — a Rare — is so common on Legendaries). That stat bonus shrinks at Awakening 6, but the effect is strongest there.
Rule of thumb
Damage dealers: Phantom Touch, Crushing Rend, Cruelty, Soul Reap. Supports/controllers: Intimidating Presence, Lightning Cage — and they make the best Brimstone carriers (its damage is caster-independent). PvP: Polymorph, Intimidating Presence, Soul Reap.
The Standout Blessings
Boss & damage
Brimstone (Chaos · Legendary)
Applies Smite — damage = a % of the target's MAX HP — when the enemy uses an active skill. Caster-independent, so it belongs on a Legendary SUPPORT/controller. The best (and under-rated) boss-killer: Clan Boss, Hydra, Doom Tower. Max it. Only ONE per team — it doesn't stack.
Crushing Rend (Chaos · Epic)
Hits ignore a % of enemy DEF, scaling with target level. For tanky high-DEF bosses — Hydra, brutal Doom Tower. At 6★ it triggers on EVERY hit (big jump from limited uses).
Phantom Touch (Dark · Rare)
Chance per hit for bonus ATK-based damage (a mini-Warmaster, can't crit). The default for almost all Rares and many Epic nukers; great vs Fire Knight (each proc chips a shield counter). Adds stats on higher-rarity champs.
Cruelty (Dark · Epic)
Each hit stacks Decrease DEF on the target. Put it on ONE attacker for long fights — Clan Boss, Hydra, dungeons. Like Brimstone, don't double up.
Soul Reap (War · Legendary)
Executes enemies below an HP threshold, ignoring DEF and damage reduction (not vs bosses). Strongest execute for Arena offense and PvE wave/single-target nukers.
Lethal Dose (Dark · Epic)
Enhances Poison-type DoT damage. For HP-Burn / Poison teams (Clan Boss, Hydra DoT comps). Buffed in the rebalance.
Support, control & PvP
Intimidating Presence (Light · Legendary)
Team aura that strengthens your auras and weakens the enemy's at once. For Arena speed wars and shared Arena/Hydra teams. Worth it only at high/6★ — gives little at low levels. One aura blessing per team.
Lightning Cage (Light · Legendary)
Builds Lightning Orb charges when enemies gain buffs / fill turn meter, then releases bonus damage and protects key buffs. Great for buff-heavy Hydra & Arena — and useful even at LOW awakening (rare for a Legendary blessing).
Polymorph (Chaos · Legendary)
Turns an enemy into a Sheep when they debuff/steal from this champ. Huge PvP crowd control. Cannot target bosses — useless in boss content.
Ward of the Fallen (Dark · Legendary)
Grants Bone Armor each round plus bonus damage scaling with dead allies. For attrition / revive-based comps (Doom Tower, Faction Wars).
Heavencast (Light · Epic)
Lets a champion ignore enemy RESIST to land debuffs. Niche — only when accuracy is the bottleneck on a high-RES boss.
Miracle Heal (Light · Rare)
Restores destroyed MAX HP — strong on Hydra healers. Buffed in the rebalance.
Recent rebalance
Brimstone and Phantom Touch were nerfed slightly (still S-tier); Miracle Heal, Lethal Dose and several others were buffed. Names like “Reflex Boost,” “Charged Focus” and “Aware” are not real blessings — they’re confusions with the Reflex gear set, Lightning Cage, and Survival Instinct respectively.
Quick Picks for Your Roster
| Champion | Best blessing | Backup | Why |

| Lamasu | Brimstone | Intim. Presence / Lightning Cage | Pure support — perfect Brimstone holder |
| Mithrala | Intimidating Presence | Brimstone / Lightning Cage | Shared Hydra+Arena aura holder |
| Lady Annabelle | Cruelty | Iron Will | Epic-only; A1 hits stack DEF shred over a long solo |
| Hilda | Crushing Rend | Phantom Touch | 3-hit ignore-DEF A1 synergy |
| Sun Wukong | Lightning Cage | Crushing Rend | Buff-heavy Hydra/Arena; works at low awakening |
| Gwyndolin | Phantom Touch | Cruelty | Hits often + always debuffing |

Save Brimstone for your best Legendary
Brimstone is the highest-value blessing in the game but you’ll have few copies. Put it on a Legendary you bring to every boss — ideally a durable support/controller — not on an Epic.
